To setup the TV on group land you need to Deed the @home Audio/Video Receiver to the group that owns the land.

Below are the steps required to Deed the @home Audio/Video Receiver.

Step 1. Rezz the Receiver next to your TV

Step 2. Right-click on the Receiver and select Edit from the circular menu, this will pull up the Edit Window

A. The TVs come in 2 parts, the TV screen and the @home Audio/Video Receiver.

For your own land, setup is very simple. Just drop/rezz the TV in your home and also drop the @home Audio/Video Receiver next to the TV.

That's all you need to do. Click on the TV screen for a menu with the channels and TV Guide. Relax and start watching.

For rental you will need to give the @home Audio/Video Receiver to your landlord to set for you on the land.

This is required because the landlord owns the land, and the Receiver must be owned by the person or group that owns the land.

For rental land owned by your landlord: Give the [@home Audio/Video Receiver] to your landlord. Your landlord should rezz/place the receiver next to your TV. On… Continue

A. Double Click on the top center of your SL screen, where the name of the sim, parcel and location is displayed.

(Or Click on World from the SL Main menu and select About Land... from the drop down menu)

This will pull up the About Land Window, Click on the General Tab then check the name under Owner.

Owner: [Name of land owner]

Thats the name of the Avatar that owns the land. if your
name is under owner then it means your land.

In some cases, you would see Group Owned under owner.

A. You need to have video streaming enabled in your SL preferences. Here is how you do it.

Press Ctrl P on your PC/MAC keyboard, this will bring up the preferences window inside SL.

Click on the Audio/Video Tab from the preferences window

Check the box [X] that says Play Streaming Media when available.

Click Apply and click OK.

Its best to relog after this.

Now congrats you have enabled Video Streaming. You now have the settings to watch TV & video in SL.
