Q. I own the land, how to do I setup my TV?
A. The TVs come in 2 parts, the TV screen and the @home Audio/Video Receiver.
For your own land, setup is very simple. Just drop/rezz the TV in your home and also drop the @home Audio/Video Receiver next to the TV.
That's all you need to do. Click on the TV screen for a menu with the channels and TV Guide. Relax and start watching.

Q. I Rent the land, how do I setup my TV
For rental you will need to give the @home Audio/Video Receiver to your landlord to set for you on the land.
This is required because the landlord owns the land, and the Receiver must be owned by the person or group that owns the land.

Q. I am not sure who owns the land, how do I check?
A. Double Click on the top center of your SL screen, where the name of the sim, parcel and location is displayed.
(Or Click on World from the SL Main menu and select About Land... from the drop down menu)
This will pull up the About Land Window, Click on the General Tab then check the name under Owner.

Q. What SL settings do i need to watch TV inside SL?
A. You need to have video streaming enabled in your SL preferences. Here is how you do it.
Press Ctrl P on your PC/MAC keyboard, this will bring up the preferences window inside SL.
Click on the Audio/Video Tab from the preferences window
Check the box [X] that says Play Streaming Media when available.
Click Apply and click OK.
Its best to relog after this.
Now congrats you have enabled Video Streaming. You now have the settings… Continue

Q. I paid for an item from the store but never received it?
If you paid for an item and the Linden dollars was taken from your account but still you didnt receive the item, do the following:
Open your inventory and check under Recent Items, the item should be there. Sometimes Recent Items maybe defective due to SL issues, if you don't see it under Recent Items, Open your inventory All items and type the keyword @home. This should pull it up.

The message appears if I try to perform a new search, or change channel. The radio is unusable.
This has been ongoing for months.

- Yes there are DVDs you could use for the TV, check out Millions Media DVD, lightening Video Mall or shaft DVD. These stores have a good collection of DVDs and a wide selection of movies. Their DVDs work with @home TVs. Be sure to also have firefox browser with Adobe flash installed because some DVDs require flash player (SL uses flash installed in firefox). I hope this helps. Let me know if any problems.
